Marcia wrote an email to one of the candidates giving them the news that they have not got the job.
(မာစီယာသည္ အလုပ္ေလွ်ာက္ထားသူတစ္ဦးထံသုိ႔ အလုပ္မရရွိေၾကာင္း email ေရးပို႔သည္။)

Marcia Boardman : …ok…ok…that’s great! We’ll be pleased to have you on the team! Looking forward to seeing you next week! Bye!
(…ေကာင္းျပီ…ေကာင္းျပီ… အဖြဲ႔၀င္ျဖစ္လာမွာကို ၀မ္းသာပါတယ္။ ေနာက္အပတ္မွ ေတြ႕ၾကမယ္! တာ့တာ!)

Philip Hart : Was that Sarah?
(အဲ့ဒါ ဆာရာလား?)

Marcia Boardman : Yes – she’s going to accept the job, and wants to come in next week for a chat …
(ဟုတ္တယ္ - သူက အလုပ္ကို လက္ခံမယ္တဲ့ ျပီးေတာ့ ေနာက္အပတ္မွာ ေဆြးေႏြးဖို႔အတြက္ လာခဲ့မယ္တဲ့…)

Philip Hart :
Great news. Now you just have to tell the other guy that we don’t want him … (သတင္းေကာင္းပဲ။ ကဲ အခုတစ္ခါ က်န္တဲ့တစ္ေယာက္ကို သူ႔ကို ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔မလိုအပ္ဘူး ဆိုတဲ့အေၾကာင္းကို ခင္ဗ်ားအေၾကာင္းၾကားဖို႔ပဲ က်န္ေတာ့တယ္…)

Marcia Boardman :
I hate giving bad news … (သတင္းဆိုးေပးရမွာ အရမ္းမုန္းတာပဲ…)

Philip Hart : I’m glad that it’s your job and not mine!
(အဲ့ဒါ ကြ်န္ေတာ့္အလုပ္မဟုတ္ဘဲ ခင္ဗ်ားအလုပ္ျဖစ္ေနတာ ေတာ္ေသးတာေပါ့!)

Marcia Boardman : Ok, may as well do it straightaway… Dear Mr. Watson…we regret to inform you that you have not go the job…hmm…sound a bit too direct…How about…’Dear Mr. Watson, Thank you for your application to WebWare. We regret to inform you that you weren’t successful.’
(ေကာင္းျပီေလ။ ခ်က္ခ်င္းလုပ္လိုက္တာပဲ ေကာင္းပါတယ္…မစၥတာ ၀က္ဆန္ရွင့္…ေလွ်ာက္ထားသည့္ အလုပ္ကို မရရွိေၾကာင္းကို ၀မ္းနည္းစြာျဖင့္ အေၾကာင္းၾကားအပ္ပါသည္။…အင္း…သိပ္ျပီး တဲ့တိုးၾကီးျ့ဖစ္ေနတယ္…ဒီလိုဆိုရင္ေရာ… “မစၥတာ ၀က္ဆန္ရွင့္၊ WebWare ကို အလုပ္လာေလွ်ာက္တဲ့အတြက္ ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ရွင္မေအာင္ျမင္ေၾကာင္းကို ၀မ္းနည္းစြာနဲ႔ အေၾကာင္းၾကားလိုက္ပါတယ္။”)

Philip Hart : Hmmm…I think you should say something positive.
(အင္း…အေကာင္းဘက္က နည္းနည္းလွည့္ေျပာသင့္တယ္ထင္တယ္။)

Marcia Boardman : But he was terrible!
(ဒါေပမယ့္သူက အရမ္းကို ညံ့တာေလ!)

Philip Hart : Well, he wasn’t great, no, but, I think we should be positive and polite.
(အင္း၊ သူကအေကာင္းၾကီးမဟုတ္ဘူးေလ ဒါေပမယ့္ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႔အေနနဲ႔က ယဥ္ယဥ္ေက်းေက်းနဲ႕ အေကာင္းဘက္က လွည့္ေျပာသင့္တယ္။)

Marcia Boardman : Yes, you’re absolutely right. OK how about this ‘Dear Mr. Watson. Thank you for your application to WebWare. You were a promising candidate. However, we regret to inform you that the competition for the post was very strong, and we will not be offering you the position. Yours sincerely, etc etc…’
(ဟုတ္တယ္၊ ရွင္ေျပာတာလံုး၀မွန္ပါတယ္။ ေကာင္းျပီ၊ ဒီလိုဆိုရင္ေကာ “မစၥတာ ၀က္ဆန္ရွင့္။ WebWare မွာ အလုပ္ေလွ်ာက္တဲ့အတြက္ ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။ ရွင္ဟာအလားအလာရွိတဲ့ ေလွ်ာက္လႊာရင္တစ္ဦးပါပဲ။ သုိ႔ေသာ္လည္း ဤရာထူးအတြက္ ျပိဳင္ဆိုင္မႈ ျပင္းထန္တဲ့အတြက္ ၀မ္းနည္းစြာနဲ႔ပဲ ရွင့္ကို အလုပ္ခန္႔ထားႏိုင္ျခင္းမရွိေၾကာင္း အေၾကာင္းၾကားအပ္ပါသည္။ ေလးစားစြာျဖင့္။ စသည္ျဖင့္ေပါ့…”

Philip Hart : Yes, that’s more like it…but we should include some feedback…
(အင္း၊ အဲဒါကမွပိုေကာင္းေသးတယ္..ဒါေပမယ့္ သံုးသပ္ခ်က္ေလးလည္းထည့္ေပးသင့္တယ္။)

Marcia Boardman : Of course – how about if I add this: “In future, you may wish to moderate your personal style, and carefully fact check your CV…” How does that sound?
(ဟုတ္တာေပါ့ - ဒါေလးထပ္ျဖည့္လိုက္ရင္ဘယ္လုိေနမလဲ “အနာဂတ္တြင္ ကိုယ္ပုိင္ဟန္ပန္မ်ားကို ထိန္းသိမ္းျပီး ကုိယ္ေရးရာဇ၀င္ပါအခ်က္အလက္မ်ားကို ေသခ်ာစြာ စစ္ေဆးသင့္ပါသည္..” ဆိုရင္ေကာင္းမလား?)

Philip Hart : I’m not sure what ‘moderate your personal style’ means. It’s a bit vague…
(ကိုယ္ပုိင္ဟန္ပန္မ်ားကို ထိန္သိမ္းပါဆိုတာကို သိပ္မရွင္းဘူး။ သိပ္ျပီး မေရရာဘူး…)

Marcia Boardman : Hmm…ok, how about ‘give more specific examples of your achievements, and show how you work as part of a team’.
(အင္း…ေကာင္းျပီေလ၊ “ရွင့္ရဲ႕ေအာင္ျမင္မႈမ်ားအတြက္ ပိုတိက်တဲ့ ဥပမာေတြေပးျပီး အသင္းအဖြဲ႕၀င္တစ္ေယာက္အေနနဲ႔ ဘယ္လိုေဆာင္ရြက္တယ္ဆိုတာကိုလည္း ေဖာ္ျပပါ။” ဆိုရင္ေရာ ဘယ္လိုေနမလဲ?)

Philip Hart : Ok, yes, I like that… and remember to finish with something like, ‘We wish you the best of luck in the future’!
(ေကာင္းတယ္။ အဲ့ဒါကိုသေဘာက်တယ္…ျပီးေတာ့ အဆံုးသတ္မွာ “ေရွ႕ေလွ်ာက္ ကံေကာင္းဖုိ႔ ဆုေတာင္းေပးလိုက္ပါတယ္”ဆိုတာလဲ ထည့္ဖို႕မေမ့နဲ႕ဦး။)

Marcia Boardman : Of course – I certainly do wish him luck! Ok – done. I’ll send it now.
