အသံုးဝင္ေသာ အဂၤလိပ္စကားအသံုးအႏႈန္းမ်ား(၅)

Can you? (မင္း…ႏိုင္မလား)

You use can you? when you want to ask someone to do something:

မင္း…..ႏိုင္မလား can you? ကို တစ္စံုတစ္ဥိးအား ကိစၥတစ္စံုတစ္ခုေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးရန္ ေတာင္းဆိုရာတြင္ အသံုးျပဳပါသည္။

  1. Can you lend me a pen?

      ငါ့ကို မင္းရဲ႕ ေဖာင္တိန္ ငွားႏုိင္မလား

  2. Can you tell me where the station is?

      ငါ့ကို ဘူတာရံုဘယ္နားမွာရွိတယ္ဆိုတာ မင္းေျပာျပႏုိင္မလား

Help! (ကယ္ၾကပါဗ်ိဳ႕)

An exclamation which you use when you are in danger or in need of assistance:

ကယ္ၾကပါဗ်ိဳ႕ Help! သည္အႏၱရာယ္က်ေရာက္ေနေသာအခါ (သို႔) အကူအညီလိုအပ္ေသာအခါတြင္ အသံုးျပဳေသာ အာေမဋိတ္ စကားျဖစ္ပါသည္။

  1. 'Help!' called the boy as the boat began to sink.

      ေကာင္ေလးသည္ ေလွစတင္နစ္ျမဳပ္သည့္အခါတြင္ ကယ္ၾကပါ ဟု ေအာ္လိုက္သည္။

  2. Help! The door is stuck and I can't get out.

      ကယ္ၾကပါဗ်ိဳ႕။ တံခါးက ညပ္ေနလို႔ က်ေနာ္အျပင္ထြက္လို႔မရဘူး

At least (အနည္းဆံုးေတာ့)

You use at least when you wish to suggest that a situation is not as bad as it might have been or to say something positive about a bad or negative situation:

အနည္းဆံုးေတာ့ at least ကို အေျခအေနတစ္ရပ္ရပ္သည္ ဆိုးရြားသင့္သေလာက္ မဆိုးရြားေၾကာင္းကို အၾကံျပဳလုိေသာအခါ (သို႔) ဆိုးရြားေသာ (သို႔) ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ခ်က္မရွိေသာ အေျခအေနတစ္ရပ္ရပ္ကို အေကာင္းေျပာလိုေသာအခါတြင္ အသံုးျပဳပါသည္။

  1. It rained on the day of the wedding, but at least it was dry when the photographs were being taken.

      မဂၤလာေဆာင္ေန႔က မိုးရြားတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္အနည္းဆံုးေတာ့ ဓါတ္ပံုေတြ႐ိုက္တုန္းကေတာ့ ေျခာက္ေသြ႕ေနတယ္ေလ

  2. It's not a very nice flat, but at least it's warm.

      တုိက္ခန္းက သိပ္ေတာ့ မေကာင္းလွဘူး။ ဒါေပမယ့္ အနည္းဆံုးေတာ့ ေႏြးေတာ့ေႏြးတာပဲ။

Let me (ငါ...ပါရေစ)

You say let me do something when you are offering to help somebody:

ငါ...ပါရေစ let me ကို တစ္ဦးတစ္ေယာက္ကို အကူအညီ ေပးလိုေသာအခါတြင္ အသံုးျပဳပါသည္။

  1. Let me carry those books for you.

      မင္းအတြက္ အဲဒီစာအုပ္ေတြ ငါသယ္ေပးပါရေစ။

   2. Let me call a taxi for you.

      မင္းအတြက္ အငွားကား ေခၚေပးပါရေစ

Would you like ...? (...ပါမလား)

You say would you like (something)? when you offer it to somebody:

...ပါမလား (would you like...?)ကို တစ္စံုတစ္ဦးအား တစ္စံုတစ္ခုကို ေပးလိုသည့္အခါတြင္ သံုးသည့္ ယဥ္ေက်းေသာ အသံုအႏႈန္းပင္ျဖစ္သည္။)

  1. Would you like some tea?

      လက္ဖက္ရည္ သံုးေဆာင္ပါမလား

  2. Would you like a biscuit?

      ဘီစကစ္ တစ္ခ်ပ္ေလာက္ စားပါမလား
